Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation

The Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (ISPEAR) was conceptualized on March 1987 to cater to the growing needs for physical education teachers, coaches, and trainers in the elementary and secondary schools in Nueva Ecija and its neighboring provinces. The CLSU Board of Regents (BOR) finally stamped its approval on the proposed ISPEAR through BOR Resolution No. 29 series of 1999.

Headed by a director, it promotes the recreation, social and ethical values derived from various sports. It also provides athletic activities conducive to the physical well being of students and other members of the university constituency while appropriating regimented exercise upon prescription of the university health services for those with physical handicap. It offers subjects in physical education and performs other university-related functions.
